Maps

Gerg, I left you a note here regarding maps and copyright. BWCAWiki definitely needs maps, but I don't know if Google-derived maps are copyright legal. -- BlueCanoe 13:23, 9 June 2006 (PDT)

I searched around a bit for wiki-useable maps today, and found a description of a MediaWiki Google Maps Extension here, although it's in German. Seems like something that can be added to the base MediaWiki software to allow imbedding of Google maps based on some simple inputs (lat/long, etc). There may be more info at the MediaWiki site, but I've gotta go. Thought I'd share. -- BlueCanoe 16:48, 16 June 2006 (PDT)

Format / design

I designed a new background image for the BWCAWiki pages if you wanted to replace the flower-thingy that is the default image. I apologize for digging through the directories, but it looks like the original file is at bwcawiki.org/skins/monobook/headbg.jpg. Here's my new file: Image:Headbg-2.jpg I made it the same size and grayscale, so it should switch out without making new problems. If you want to change it. -- BlueCanoe 18:55, 20 June 2006 (PDT)

Looks great! I'll get it loaded in as soon as I have time. Thanks! Also, as an FYI, I have a friend who's a graphic designer working on a logo. I personally despise the logo I designed. :) I don't know when it will arrive, but it should be much, much better. Thanks again. Also, love the small stub icons.
