Long Portage

The Long Portage between Rose and Rove Lakes is about two miles long. The western 465 rods is flat and follows an old logging railroad grade. It will take you an additional 64 rods to Daniels Lake, if you miss the fork (left) to Rove Lake. The eastern 195 rods leading to Rove Lake is a more traditional portage trail and a bit rougher.
