Little Saganaga Lake

Little Saganaga Lake is a large lake (1,962 acres) in the east-central Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. It has a maximum depth of 150 feet and tannin-stained water. Presumably named after Saganaga Lake to the north, Little Saganaga resembles its namesake with its many islands and complex shape. The lake contains lake trout and northern pike.

The entire northern shore of Little Saganaga Lake was burned in the Cavity Lake Fire of 2006.
