Kekekabic Lake

Kekekabic Lake is a medium-sized (1620 acres) lake in the central Boundary Waters. It has a maximum depth of 195 feet and very clear water. It was heavily-damaged in the 1999 Fourth of July Blowdown. Kekekabic Lake is located in an area of rugged topography, with numerous cliffs and talus slopes. Some of the surrounding ridgetops top out over 400 feet above the lake.

Points of Interest
- There is a single pictograph located on rocks on the southern shore of the eastern bay. It depicts four people in a canoe.
- Kek Lake is a small lake with no campsites. Small and deep, it is surrounded by high hills and bluffs.
- "Old USFS ranger cabin and a 190 rod uphill trail which leads to the site of the former Kek Lookout Tower, which stood 425 feet above the lake." [1] (Located near where the Kekekabic Trail T's and goes toward the lake.)
