Camping

There are six campsites on Angleworm. Because it's difficult to access, the lake does not receive a lot of visitors. The good news is, visitors should be able to get one of the sites most times of the year.

Angleworm Lake Portage

Portage is long, but not especially difficult as far as elevation changes, tricky footing, etc. The portage follows the Angleworm hiking trail for nearly it's entire distance, which accounts for the nice trail (as well as most of the people on the portage trail). There is a sizeable valley mid-way along the portage, with a small creek to cross. Upstream, the creek can be crossed by traversing a beaver dam; and a little downstream, there is a narrow boardwalk. The Angleworm hiking trail splits and the south branch also has fork that leads to Trease Lake. The portage continues to the north, with a tiny spur leading down a steep trail to the lakeshore.
